Çorum, which dates back to 4000 BC and 3000 BC, has been home to many civilizations throughout history. There are many points to see in Çorum with its historical monuments and natural beauties.

İskilip Rock Tomb:

The rock tomb in the city centre of İskilip district of Çorum belongs to the Ottoman period and was built on a 100 meters high rock. There are also Roman tombs on the south and southeast sides of the Iskilip rock tomb. The sword and winged lion reliefs on the rock tombs are noteworthy.

İncesu Canyon

The canyon in the village of Ortakoy Incest is 12 km long and is known as the long passage among the people. In the canyon area, which also contains the walls dating back to 2000 BC, there are water cisterns, cavities and the relief of the goddess holding the lion cub in her left hand which is shown as Kybele The canyon is also home to various plants, fish and wild animals. There is also a private walkway built on the water for those who want to walk by the canyon.

Çorum Castle

Çorum Castle which is located in the centre of Çorum has the characteristics of the Seljuk Empire in terms of its historical and architectural structure. It is believed that the castle was built by Sultan Kılıçarslan. But the exact date is still unknown. The castle was built in a square shape and cut and rubble stones were used. There is a bastion in every corner of the castle and there are a mosque and two living areas in the castle.

Hattusa (Boğazköy) which is located in the Boğazkale district, is the first known capital of Anatolia and it is 84 km away from the centre of Çorum. During the excavations in the region, Hatti, Assyrian, Phrygian, Galatian, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman artefacts were unearthed. Hattusa consists of two parts: the upper city with temples and sanctuaries and the lower city with large temples and public living areas.
