Located in Donduran village of Aydın province, only a small part of the ancient city is located above the ground and most of it is waiting to be unearthed. There is not much information about the city since there was no excavation in the ancient city which was established on a high hill for defence purposes. The ancient city of Orthosia, which has been home to many civilizations throughout history, is also known as a Carian city. The ruins of the ancient city include the theatre, city walls, underground rooms, city necropolis, mosaics, ornamental sarcophagi and rock tombs. Aydın-Dolduran minibuses are available for those who want to go to the ancient city, which is 45 km away from Aydın city centre.
