There is no precise information about the period when the ancient city of Sillyon was founded on Koçhisar Hill, 16 km away from Serik, but it is estimated that life started in the region after migrations from the north after the Trojan War. The ancient city was home to the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Seljuk periods.
The city walls bearing traces of the Hellenistic period in the ancient city, as well as the Seljuk mosque, churches and cisterns, fountain, monumental tomb, Turkish baths and city walls are available. The ancient city of Sillyon also has a theatre and an odeon for 8,000 people. Located 15 km from the sea, the ancient city of Sillyon is 21 km from Belek, 16 km from Serik and 20 km from the ancient city of Perge. Those who want to go to the ancient city can turn north from the 35th km of the Antalya-Alanya highway and reach the ancient city of Sillyon after 8 km.
