The ancient city, which belongs to the Roman period, was founded on a flat area and the most important ruins that have survived to the present day are the ancient harbour, also known as the mirror lake. This place, which is a port where the products intended to meet the demand of olive oil or wine demanded during the Roman Empire, was exported, has become a bay where touristic boats anchor. Transportation to Ptolemaiosa, located 20 km west of Alanya, is provided by private vehicles.
