Saklıkent canyon, which is a wonder of nature, is entered through bridges built on the waters. The height of the rocks around the canyon varies between 200 and 600 meters and the width in the canyon narrows up to 2 meters at some points. Saklıkent, which is approximately one thousand meters high from the sea, is 16 km long and 200 km from Antalya, 47 km from Fethiye and 64 km from Kaş. Even in the days when the air temperature reaches 40 degrees, it is quite cool in the canyon and the icy water that hits visitors’ feet gives a feeling of relaxation. The interesting rock structures shaped by the continuously flowing waters also form an image specific to the Saklıkent Canyon.
Those wishing to walk in the canyon are advised to bring non-skid shoes, waterproof bags, shirts, towels, sunscreen and spare clothes for walking alongside the water. To meet the need for food and beverage, there are restaurants located on and around the canyon. For those who want to do different activities during the canyon rafting tour, zipline, bungee jumping are among the options.
Those who want to go to Saklıkent can take Fethiye-Saklıkent minibuses departing in front of Fethiye bus terminal after approximately one hour journey. There are parking spaces near the canyon for those who go to Saklikent with their private vehicles. The entrance to the Saklıkent is subject to a fee and the museum card is not valid.
