The island of Sedir is 24 km from Marmaris and is one of the most visited spots in summer with its turquoise sea and sandy beach. It is believed that the sand of the beach on the island, also known as Cleopatra Island, was brought from Africa. There are also Roman ruins to the west of the island with entrance fee. The island is reached by boats departing from the pier in Çamlık village, 23 km from Marmaris. Those who wish to come to Çamlık village by car can easily go to the island by boat tours.
Boat trips to Sedir Island are organized every day from April to November, when the summer season starts.İncekum, Fenerli Ada Bay, Yunus Bay, Çanak Bay, Sedir Island, Kedrai Ancient City and Cleopatra Beach can be seen in the tour organized by boats departing from Çamlık pier. There is frequent swimming break during the tour. The tour starts in the morning and ends at 17:00 in the evening.
