Archaeological excavations in 1995 revealed that the ancient city was founded in the 7th century BC.Acropolis, Sarnıç, Necropolis and Apollo temples are among the ruins of the ancient city. The inscriptions revealed that the temples in the acropolis were dedicated to Zeus Atabyrios. Another structure that survived from the city is the castle which is 120 meters long and 10 meters wide.
The ruins of the ancient city were collected in the area immediately at the entrance of the bay. For those who want to visit the ancient city, especially in the summer season, transportation to the ancient city is provided by sea and land. Those who want to go to the ancient city Bozukkale bay by boat after about 45 minutes walk to reach the ancient city. Those who want to go by car from Söğüt to Taşlıca can reach the ancient city on foot.
