Manavgat Ancient city of Lyrbe (Seleukeia)

The ancient city of Lyrbe (Seleukeia ) is located in the village of Bucak sheikhs. The ancient city, which is 13 km away from Manavgat, can be visited for free. It is estimated that the ancient city, which is located in a forested area, was founded in the 3rd century BC. The remains were found to be from the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods. The ruins include the city walls, Agora, Turkish Bath, Temples, Cisterns, Churches and Tombs. Some of the artefacts found in the ancient city are exhibited in Antalya Archeology and Side Archeology Museum. The ancient city was built on a high hill and has a great view.
