The ancient city of Thera which is 78 km away from Milas is also known as Okkataş Ancient City. Among the ruins of the ancient city, which is one of the important settlement areas of Carian people, there are magnificent rock tombs, theatre and agora. The ancient city, which looks like an open-air museum, is built on 700 acres of land and can be visited for free. The ancient city is 15 km away from Muğla and is located between the villages of Ula and Yenice.
