Belek, which has become one of the popular holiday centres with the beauty of the hotels built between pine trees, also turns into a camping village during the winter months due to the abundance of world-class hotels, golf courses, tennis courts and football fields. It is possible to see the sun in 300 days of the year in Belek and it is one of the indispensable camping places of athletes and sports clubs from many different countries of the world.     

Belek is a very popular holiday resort in terms of its location. 45 minutes from the airport, Belek is also close to many historical and ancient cities. Those who come to vacation enjoy the pleasure of a holiday intertwined with nature and history. The livelihood of the people living in Belek is based on tourism and agriculture. Especially greenhouse cultivation is widespread in the region. It is possible to find agricultural products grown in greenhouses and organically grown agricultural products in the bazaar in Belek.

How to go to Belek:

By plane: The nearest airport is located in Antalya for those who want to come to Belek by air. Due to heavy air traffic in the summer months, it is possible to come to Gazipaşa airport and go to Belek from the airport by Havaş bus services or taxis.  

By land: Many bus companies from different cities of Turkey organize expeditions to Belek. There are also minibuses from Antalya bus terminal to Belek for those coming from different routes with bus companies. You can reach Belek from Antalya bus terminal in an hour.

What to eat in Belek:

You can also taste many dishes that are unique to Antalya in Belek. You can try Antalya haricot bean salad, Hibeş made from tahini and lemon juice, meat-filled dumplings boiled in stock made from yoghurt, chickpea and meat. You can try the famous watermelon, bergamot and citrus jams of Belek and buy one on the way home.    

There are many different restaurants in Belek for those who want to try new ones. Since it is a touristic region, it is possible to see examples of international cuisine in Belek. Turkish cuisine can be seen in almost every restaurant’s menu.

Urban transportation:

Transportation in Belek is provided by minibuses and taxis. For those who want to go to the residential areas around Belek, there are minibuses taking off regularly. Apart from minibuses, taxis serve 7/24.

Weather in Belek: Located in Antalya, Belek has a Mediterranean climate. In December, January, February and March the air temperature vary between 15 and 17 ° C, while the seawater temperature is around 16 ° C. These months are generally rainy.  

April-May is the beginning of spring. During these months, the air temperature is 20-25 ° C, while the water temperature is around 17-18 ° C. It is a bit cool in the evenings in April and May. June, July and August are the hottest and driest months in Belek. During these months, the temperature may rise above 35 ° C. Due to the high humidity, the sensed temperature rises above 35 ° C. At night the air temperature is above 20 ° C, while the seawater temperature is around 25 ° C. September, October and November are the autumn months and the temperature is above 20 ° C. It is raining in October and November. During these months, the seawater temperature is around 25 ° C.
