The ancient city, which was founded in the name of Eumenes II, the king of Pergamum, islocated on the Çivril-Dinar highway. It is estimated that this region, also known as Sarıbaba Hill,was used as a castle during the Byzantine period. It is one of the most important settlements ofWestern Anatolia which has continued its uninterrupted existence in ancient times. It wastransformed into a big city with the name Eumeneia during the Hellenistic and Roman periodsand was used as an administrative centre during the Ottoman period. The ancient city has a richhistorical heritage with its military and civilian remains.Those who want to come to this area should first come to Çivril district of Denizli. You can reachthe ancient city by coming from the district of Çivril to Işıklı.
