Located 20 km from Bodrum and 30 km from Milas at the entrance of the Bodrum peninsula, Güvercinlik is an old fishing village and one of the rare places with pine trees surrounding the bay. Güvercinlik, where the ruins of the ancient city of Karyanda is seen, has an increased number of domestic and foreign visitors every year. How to get to Guvercinlik?

It is very easy to reach Güvercinlik with the minibuses departing from Bodrum centre. It is very easy to find minibuses from Bodrum centre to Güvercinlik every 20 minutes especially in the summer months.

Accommodation

There is a wide range of accommodation options for those who want to stay in Güvercinlik. Due to intense demand, hotel prices in Güvercinlik are slightly above standards, while accommodation options include all-inclusive hotels, apart-hotels for large families, bed and breakfast hotels, rental apartments or villas, boutique hotels and pensions among tangerine orchards. Those who wish to stay during the summer months are advised to book at least three months in advance.  

What to eat in Güvercinlik?

Since it is a touristic region, it is very easy to find all kinds of international cuisine in Güvercinlik. Among the tangerine orchards, the restaurants offer different dishes from Turkish and international cuisine, as well as local dishes from Bodrum. Visitors to Güvercinlik are recommended to taste stuffed squash blossoms, Kashkek, Radish herb salad, Mustard herb salad, fried squash blossoms and Çökertme kebab. 

Guvercinlik Public Beach

Shower, cabins, sun loungers and umbrellas are provided on the public beach, right next to Güvercinlik harbour. The beach, which has a very crowded structure especially during the periods when schools are closed and on weekends, serves its visitors with its clean beach and sea.
