Herakleia Ancient City is located near Çamiçi village near Bafa lake. The ancient city dates back to the 7th century BC and the ancient city was used as a port city during the Hellenistic and Roman periods and was used as a sanctuary during the Byzantine period. Among the ruins that survived from the ancient city is the temple of Athena, city walls, agora, tombs, the monastery of the Seven, the temple of Andiymion, the ruins of the monastery and the church. Temple of Athena (Herakleia Ancient City): The temple in the ancient city of Herakleia was built in the 3rd century in the name of the chief goddess of the ancient city. Visiting hours of the ancient city: From April 15th to October 2nd between 09:00 and 19:00. From October 3rd and April 14th between 08:00 and 17:00, it can be visited free of charge.
