Kuşadası Attractions

Although Kusadasi is a small holiday centre, there are many places to see and visit. There are many historical and cultural points that visitors can see. Landmarks include streets, beaches, bays, museums, ancient cities, festival sites and many more.

Kuşadası Gazibeğendi Hill

It is possible to see Pigeon Island, Yılancı Cape, Aegean Port and Kuşadası Marina from Kuşadası Sevda Hill, which is one of the most beautiful spots where the view and sunset of Kuşadası are seen. There are also restaurants and cafes run by the municipality on the hill where Atatürk statue is also located. It is highly recommended for those who want to take pictures of the beautiful Kusadasi to visit here. The hill can be reached by a private vehicle or by minibus. 

Kusadasi (Dilek) National Park

The park, which is 28 km away from Kuşadası, was declared a national park in 1966. In the park, which is intertwined with nature, in addition to cycling and trekking trails, there are 4 bays including Aydınlık, Kavaklı Cape, Karasu and İçmeler for those who want to swim. The national park is 20 km long, 6 km wide and 37,675 hectares in size and there are 804 plant species in the park, 31 of them are endemic plants seen only here and there are also 256 bird species. The peninsula’s park shores also provide Mediterranean monk seals and sea turtles to live and breed. It is possible to go to the National Park which is open between 8 am and 19 pm by boat tours or by dolmus departing from Davutlar or Güzelçamlı.

Güvercin (Pigeon) Island

The castle was first built during the Byzantine period and rebuilt by Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha during the Ottomans, and the castle walls were built by Ilyas Agha. Although the castle, which was built against the pirate attacks from the sea, is called the Pirate castle by the locals, it is named after the Pigeon Castle because it hosts many bird species, especially pigeons. The fortress, which was connected to the land in 1957, gained its present appearance. The illuminated castle fascinates the viewers, especially in summer evenings. It is highly recommended that those who come to Kuşadası take their evening walks here and watch the sunset from this point Pigeon Island, which is free of charge and very close to the city centre, is easy to reach on foot.

Zeus Sea Cave

The cave attracts a great deal of interest with the mythological stories that it is the subject of. The cave on the entrance side of the Dilek peninsula can be accessed free of charge. The deepest part of the cave is 15 meters and the water temperature in summer and winter is 5 degrees. The combination of freshwater and seawater from the mountain creates a magnificent turquoise colour It is possible to see dives frequently in summer to remove the mud at the bottom of the cave, which is believed to beautify the skin.
