Belgrade Forests

Belgrad Forests, the largest forested area of İstanbul, is one of the most preferred areas for residents of İstanbul to rest, exercise, walk, have a picnic and use bicycles in an atmosphere with plenty of oxygen at weekends. There are information signs showing how long people walk on the walking tracks, as well as bicycle trails for those who want to use bicycles. 

Pedestrian and bicycle entrances to the Belgrade forests are free of charge. Buses 42T-42M-42R-42HM and 153 can be used for those who want to go to Belgrade forests by public transport.

Emirgan Grove

The Emirgan grove, which hosts the tulip festival in April, is visited by millions every year. There are pavilions, playgrounds, picnic areas, observation terraces, jogging tracks, walking tracks and businesses in the park. During the summer months, it is especially preferred by families with children to have a picnic, relax and escape the heat and spend time in the shade. Pedestrians enter the park free of charge and there is a charge for entrance by car. Those who want to come to the park in Sarıyer by public transport can use the buses numbered 22RE-25E-40-40B-40T-42T.

Gulhane Park

he Gülhane park, which was previously within the boundaries of the Topkapı Palace, was reorganized in 2003 and the trees were added and the walking paths were opened. Gülhane Park, which has a very beautiful view, attracts visitors during day and night, especially in summer months. The entrance to the park in Eminönü is free of charge and is closed to car traffic. The park, which was used for military purposes during the Byzantine period, was used as a Topkapi garden and celebration place during the Ottoman period. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk introduced the Latin letters to the public here and received his “Teacher” title here. Those who want to see the Gülhane Park, which is located very close to the Blue Mosque and the Topkapı Palace, and take great pictures of walking here, can easily come here via the Kabataş-Bağcılar tram line.

Bebek Park

Located among the popular parks of İstanbul, the park is located by the sea and offers its visitors a magnificent view of the sea and İstanbul. It is very easy to reach the park which is visited by the ones who want to escape from the summer heat and relax under the trees by the sea and who want to take great pictures of İstanbul by bus or ferry. Bebek festivals are also organized in the park in June. Bus numbers to Bebek include 22-22RE-25E-40-40T and 42T.

Yıldız Park

Yıldız Park, built-in memory of his mother by Selim III, one of the Ottoman sultans, is located in Beşiktaş district of İstanbul. Among the popular parks of İstanbul, Yıldız Park offers a magnificent Bosphorus view from the top of the park while the visitors can enjoy a day away from stress with it’s Maltese Pavilion, Tent Pavilion, pools, gardens, 400-year-old trees, resting places, cafes and restaurants. The star park is especially busy on weekends and is also home to brides and grooms who come to have their photos taken. Please note that the entrance to the park is free of charge and a fee is charged upon arrival with a car.

Those who want to go to the star park come to Besiktas or walk from Besiktas to Ortakoy with buses 57UL-U1-42T-DT2-40-40T-30D-U2-DT1-22-22RE-25E-DT2 and get off the bus at Çırağan stop. Address: Yildiz Neighborhood 34349 Besiktas
