There is a temple in the centre of the Ephesus agora for Isis, one of the important gods of Egypt, known as the goddess of magic and healing. The temple, built during the Hellenistic period, is depicted with the emblem and throne worn on the head of the Goddess. The temple of Ephesus Isis was destroyed during the Emperor August period and some parts of the building were used for the construction of the Pollio Fountain.
