The ancient city of Letoon

Located in Kumluova, 65 km from Fethiye, Letoon is the religious centre of the Lycian Union and is known for its 3 temples dedicated to the goddess Leto, the goddess Artemis and the goddess Apollo. In the excavations carried out since 1962, the earliest Christian churches of the Lycian region were unearthed. The most important work is the tablet written in 3 languages, thought to have been written in the 4th century BC, and the tablet is now on display in the Fethiye Museum.

Those who want to go to the ancient city of Letoon, which is also on the Lycian walking route, can go to the ancient city of Letoon with the Kumluova minibuses departing from the point where the minibus stops are located and reach the ancient city quite easily after a short walk.

The city, which entered the world heritage list UNESCO in 1988, can be visited for a fee, while museum cardholders can visit for free.

Letoon Visiting Hours: From April 15th to October 2nd between 09:00 and 20:00. From October 3rd to April 14th between 08:00 and 17:00.
