There are dozens of artefacts and points to be seen in the valley, which is very rich in historical artefacts and is located within the borders of four provinces. These places include the Phrygian king road, the fairy chimneys, the three rocks, the tomb of the lion temple or Solon, the tomb of Himmet Baba, the Gerdekkaya memorial tomb, Pişmiş Castle, Midasehir, Midas Monument (Yazilikaya), Kirkgoz Cliffs, Cisterns, Kucuk Yazilikaya, Yapıldak Castle, Aslankaya memorial tomb, Üçlerkayası, Aslantaş and Yılantaş monuments, Avdalaz Castle, Ayazini Church, Kapıkaya 1, Kapıkaya 2, Maltaş, Göynüş valley, Döğer Archeological Site, Sarıçayır rock settlements, Kırkinler rock settlements, Ağın rocks, Ornaş Rocks, Bayramaliler castle , Seydiler castle and Demirli castle.
Phrygian King Road
The Phrygian king road is a trade road that was formed as a result of the horse and ox carts eroding the rocks. The depth of the eroded road can reach a depth of 2.5 meters at some points. It is estimated that the King’s road continued for 500 km during the Phrygian period.
Fairy Chimneys
Fairy chimneys, also known as the second fairy chimneys of Turkey, is located near the village of Bayramaliler. Fairy Chimneys, which are spread over a wide area, are waiting for their visitors, and they have reached to the present day without being destroyed.

Three rocks reminiscent of a small castle with three towers are among the structures worth seeing in this region. The rocks in this region can look like different objects or animals with imagination.

The sanctuary, which gets its name from the inscription on the grave and the lion reliefs, is located in the village of Kümbet in the Seyitgazi district of Eskişehir.

The tomb in the village of Kümbet is estimated to have been built in the 13th century. On the tomb, which was built as octagonal, there are marble inscriptions belonging to the Byzantine period.

The monumental tomb in the Doganli valley has a triangular pediment and rests on two columns. The monumental graves, which were repaired in 1991, fascinates the people.

1.5 km away from the village of Yazilikaya, the castle is built on a small hill. The castle has rock walls, chambers carved into the rocks, cisterns and monumental tombs around the castle.

A part of the Phrygian valley is called Midasşehir. There are Küçük Yazılıkaya, Yazılıkaya, Cisterns and Kırkgöz rocks in Midaşşehir which is right next to Yazılıkaya village.

It is estimated that the history of Yazilikaya monument, which is 80 km away from Eskisehir, dates back to 550 BC. Yazilikaya, one of the most visited monuments in the Phrygian region, has been the site of many types of research and archaeological works since the 19th century. The writings and reliefs written in Phrygian on Yazılıkaya, which has a height of 17 meters, are not fully understood yet as the alphabet cannot be solved.

Due to the fact that it consists of many chambers, Kırkgözler rocks are considered as the apartment buildings of the ancient period. The chambers in the cliffs are used for shelter and the transportation between the chambers is provided by stairs.

Cisterns used for the storage of water in the old period are frequently encountered in the Phrygian valley.
Little Yazilikaya
The building, which has a triangular pediment is located 2 km north of Yazilikaya Village, opposite the Pişmiş Castle. There are Phrygian inscriptions engraved on three facades of the Küçük Yazılıkaya monument.

It is located in the Kümbet Valley, southwest of Yapildak Village.

The monumental tomb, named after the Lion relief and Phrygian inscriptions, is located near the lake of Emre. It is presumed that there was a statue of the goddess Cybele in the monumental tomb which was thought to have been built in the 7th century BC with a triangular roof.

It is estimated that the first settlement was made during the Hittites in 2000 BC. In later periods, Phrygians, Romans, Seljuks and many other states reigned.Üçlerkayası, which is 42 km away from Afyonkarahisar, attracts visitors with its different structure.

Aslantaş and Yılantaş monument in Göynük valley within the borders of Kayıhan Town of İhsaniye district is recommended to be visited. It is estimated that the monuments were built in the 7th century BC. It is presumed that Yılantaş, the tomb of one of the kings of the period, is also a monument. There are two lion figures on the Aslantaş monument and two baby lion under the feet of the lions. There is a mass resembling the tree of life on the door of Aslantaş monument and different reliefs on it. Yılantaş monument is located on the same cliffs of Aslantaş monument. A lion relief and a foot relief on the exterior of the monument survived to the present day.

Avdalas castle built as a result of carving big rocks was used as a settlement.

It is among the effective structures carved into the rock in the Phrygian valley. The church with the domed interior structure and magnificent architecture are strongly recommended to be seen.

It is thought that the temple was built in the 7th century BC by forming a triangular roofed facade on a single piece of rock. The relief of Goddess Cybele was embroidered on the temple located between the boundaries of the village of Döğer and Üçler rock village of İhsaniye district.

It is located between the rocks and pine forests extending towards Üçlerkayası village and Bayramaliler village. There is a standing relief of Goddess Cybele on the temple which is thought to have been built in the 7th century BC.

It is believed that the Maltaş temple in the Göynüş Valley within the borders of the Kayıhan town of İhsaniye district was built in the 7th century BC. Maltaş, buried mostly in the ground, is 500 meters from Yılantaş and Aslantaş monuments. The inscriptions on the temple are still visible today.

The valley within the borders of Kayıhan town of İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar is composed of steep rock blocks of 5-6 meters high. There are Aslantaş, Yılantaş monumental tombs, Maltaş temple, dozens of Phrygian rock tombs and monuments carved into the rocks throughout the valley.

Döğer town, 12 km away from İhsaniye district, has been used as a settlement since the Phrygian period. There are rock monuments built in the name of Aslankaya, Kapıkaya 1, Kapıkaya 2, Goddess Cybele and settlements belonging to the Phrygian period.

Grave boats, shelters and tomb rooms carved into the rocks are built around the Sarıçayır village of İncehisar district. There are inscriptions on the tombs which are carved into the rocks and decorated with reliefs and ornaments.

Located on the 32nd km of Afyonkarahisar-Ankara highway, Kirkinler rock is composed of settlements, rocks used as temples and graves.

There are settlement areas, burial chambers, cisterns, temples and staircases to the upper parts of the rocks on the 50-60 meters high rocks between Karakaya and Olukpinar villages of Iscehisar district.

The castle, which is located on the road to Sarıcaova Village in the northeast of Bayramaliler Village of İhsaniye district, was built on the plain of a hill The castle is an important defence centre and there are ruins of the settlements in the castle, and there are settlements made of rock which are connected with the castle.
