The tomb of Osman veteran and his son Orhan Gazi, the founder of the Ottoman Empire, is located in Tophane. When Osman and Orhan Gazi died, the tombs were buried separately, but their tombs were destroyed in the great Bursa earthquake in 1855, and in 1863 two tombs were built at the entrance to Tophane and their bodies were moved here.
