St. Paul, a very important person for Christianity, was born in Tarsus in the 3rd century AD. Having met Jesus, Paul learned about Christianity and announced that he would follow Jesus’ path. He travelled to many different places in order to spread the religion of Christianity. The museum, which is built on an area of 460 square meters, is located in Şehitkerim neighbourhood in Tarsus. Within the museum, there are frescoes of Jesus, Yohannes, Mattias, Marcos and Lucas, and an eye motif and bird figure. It is open to visitors between 08:00 and 19:00 in summer and between 08:00 and 17:00 in winter. Museum cardholders can enter the ancient city free of charge.
