Alabanda Ancient City

Located 38 km from the centre of Aydin in the borders of Doğanyurt Village, the ancient city was founded in the 4th century BC. The ancient city of Alabanda, which has been home to many civilizations, also means horse racing. During the excavations in the ancient city, many artefacts were found and unearthed. The artefacts found are exhibited in the Aydın Museum. Agora, aqueduct, Turkish bath, theatre, city walls and Temple of Apollo, sarcophagi are among the most striking structures in the city. You can get to the ancient city of Alabanda by private car or by minibuses to Aydın-Çine- Doğanyurt village.

Visiting hours: April 15, October 2, 09:00 -19:00 October 3, April 14, 08:30 to 17:30. It can be visited free of charge.
