Çakırlar Cave

The cave, which is located in Çakırlar village of Çal district, was taken under protection in 2006. The entrance of the cave is covered with travertine mass and the cave can only be entered by crawling. The cave consists of two interconnected galleries. There are stalagmites and stalactites in the form of leaves and drops. Those who want to visit the cave should first come to Çal and come to Çakırlar village. 

Keloğlan Cave

Keloglan Cave, which is 75 km away from the centre of Denizli, was opened to tourism in 2003. The cave is located on the eastern slope of Malli Mountain, 3 km west of the town of Dodurgalar, 18 km away from the town of Acipayam. The cave, which is approximately 150 meters long, fascinates those who see stalagmites and stalactites of different colours.

There are more than one chambers in the cave and there is a specially designed excursion trail for visitors. Throughout the trail, visitors can see the different types of animal skeletons, bones and magnificent stalactites and stalagmites found during excavations in the region.

There are businesses near the cave to rest, eat and drink. Those who want to go to the cave can easily get to the Dodurga dolmuş from Denizli bus station. The entrance is for a fee.

 

   

Kaklik Cave

The cave which was formed as a result of the collapse of the ceiling due to a large underground creek is located 5 meters below the soil. It is also called small Pamukkale because the travertines in it resemble the travertines in Pamukkale. Sulfurous water dripping from the walls of the cave is believed to be good for skin diseases. There are illuminated trails and waterfalls to the north of the cave.

The cave is on the UNESCO World Heritage List and has a length of 190 meters and a depth of 14 meters at some points and a height ranging from 2 to 5 meters. The cave can be visited between 08:00 and 20:00. There are cafeterias and observation terraces near the cave for relaxation. Located within the borders of Honaz district, Kaklik Cave is 45 km to Pamukkale 30 km to Denizli. It is very easy to go to the cave with private car as well as minibuses departing from Denizli.
