Çeşme Beaches

Cesme has a 29 km long coastline and is home to beautiful beaches. There are many beach options ranging from beaches that are shallow where children can easily enter, to sandy and pebbly beaches. Among the most visited bays and beaches are Tekke beach, Boyalık bay, Pasha harbour, Şifne beach, Ilıca beach, Çatalazmak, Sakizli bay, Çiftlik, Altınkum, Diamond beach and Küçük harbour.

Çeşme Paşalimanı Beach

It is 15 km away from the Çeşme centre and has a slightly quieter structure compared to other beaches in Cesme. As it is located in the bay there is not much wind, making it very calm. The turquoise coloured beach has a rocky and sandy structure.

Due to its shallow sea, it is possible to walk 150 meters into the sea. The entrance to the beach is free of charge and there are minibuses stopping nearby that depart from Ilıca and Çeşme. Those who want to come by private vehicles should follow the İzmir-Çeşme-Ilıca- Paşalimanı route.

Çeşme Boyalık Beach

The beach, which is 5 km away from the centre of Çeşme, has a fine sand structure. Part of the beach is organized as hotels-run areas. The public section is free of charge and there are no facilities. People who come here are advised to bring umbrellas and towels. There are facilities to meet the need for food and drink around the 2 km long beach. Those who want to go to the beach should use the Ilıca – Alaçatı minibuses departing from Çeşme bus terminal and get off in front of the Boyalık Site.

Ilıca Public Beach:

Ilıca beach, which is 8 km away from Çeşme, is 2 km long and has a fine and white sandy structure. The beach takes its name from the hot water coming out of Yıldız Cape, Ilıca meaning hot spring. One of the most visited beaches of the Çeşme, Ilıca beach is among the beaches preferred by families with children due to its shallow sea. It is very easy to get to Ilıca terminal by using Cesme buses from Izmir bus station and walk to the beach from there.

Çeşme Altınkum Beach:

The beach, named after its fine-grained golden sand, is located 10 km from the centre of Çeşme.There are many private businesses along the beach for eating, drinking, shower, toilet sunbeds and umbrellas. Even though the bottom of the Altınkum beach, which has very cold water even in the hottest months of summer, is pebbled in places, it is seen that the floor is covered with sand as it progresses into the sea. The beach next to the gendarmerie point is a public beach and entrance is free. Transportation to Çeşme Altınkum beach is provided by minibuses in Çeşme every 30 minutes from Çeşme bus terminal.

Çeşme Pırlanta (Diamond) Beach

Taking its name from the fine sandy and white-coloured sandy beach like Diamond, Pırlanta Beach is 10 km away from the centre of Çeşme and it is among the best spots where kite surfing is done in addition to its clean sea and beach. The beach, which is 500 meters long and 50 meters wide, is among the beaches preferred by families with children due to its shallow sea. Entrance to the beach is free of charge and you can also bring your own umbrellas. Pırlanta beach can be reached by minibuses departing from Çeşme bus station, while some of the dolmuş departings to Çiftlikköy and Altınkum are also stopping at Diamond Beach.
