Çeşme which is flooded with visitors during summer months, has a little more quiet holiday concept than other holidays resorts in Turkey. The abundance of places to see, festivals organized throughout the year, water sports, air, clean sea and blue flag beaches are among the points that not only for domestic but also foreign tourists prefer Çeşme for holiday in recent years. Çeşme, where the Mediterranean climate is seen, is the hottest in July and August. The seawater temperature is 20 degrees annually on average and the humidity is very low. If youre planning to go to Çeşme in June, July or august you should keep in mind that these are the busiest months and you should book in advance for accommodation.

How to get to Çeşme?
Çeşme, which is 80 km away from Izmir, is very easy to reach. Transportation from Izmir airport to Cesme is provided by HAVAŞ shuttles, while those who wish to go to Izmir bus station by bus or tramway from the airport and then go to Çeşme after a 90-minute journey with Çeşme minibuses.

The bus number 725, one of the ESHOT buses that serve in the city centre of İzmir metropolitan municipality, also goes to Çeşme.
Those who want to go to Çeşme with their private cars can easily reach İzmir-Çeşme highway after 75 km after entering Narlıdere highway tolls. 

Çeşme Accommodation:
Çeşme, where you can find all kinds of budget hotels, is one of the most preferred regions to stay in with its ease of transportation, closeness to the bazaar, entertainment places and beaches. If you’re looking for a 5-star all-inclusive stay you can opt for Ilıca. For those who want to stay in a boutique hotel style, Alacati is among the options.

Çeşme Castle

The most beautiful historical structure of Çeşme is the Çeşme Castle. Aydın  Governor Mir Haydar made Mehmet, son of Architect Ahmet built it in 1508. There are two museums in the castle, one of which exhibits the ruins of buildings brought from the ancient city of Ildır, the remains of mosaics, the statues and busts and in the other one, the remains of the Battle of the Sea of Cesme between the Ottoman Empire and the Russians are being exhibited. During the summer months, the castle hosts social activities and concerts within the scope of the İzmir festival.

The castle is open daily and can be visited: From April 15th to October 2nd between 08:00 and 19:00. October 3, April 14 between 08:30 to 17:30. The museum cardholders can visit free of charge for a fee.

Çeşme Bazaar

In the Çeşme bazaar, where you can find all kinds of products you’re looking for even though it’s small, souvenir shops, hand-woven carpets and rugs shops, jewelry design shops, wine shops where local wines are sold, shops where local clothes are sold, shops where homemade jams are sold and many other products can be found in Çeşme bazaar.
