Gümbet

Gümbet is located between Turgutreis and Akyarlar, and is 3 km from Bodrum. It welcomes thousands of local and foreign tourists every year with its magnificent sea, nature, beach and the opportunity to do all kinds of water and nature sports. There are regular minibus services between Bodrum and Gümbet for those who want to reach Gümbet by land.

Accommodation

For those who want to stay in Bodrum and Gumbet, which are spread over a wide area, there are accommodation options for all budgets. Due to high demand, hotel prices are slightly above standards, while accommodation options include all-inclusive hotels, apart-hotels for large families, bed and breakfast hotels, apartments or villas for rent, boutique hotels and hostels among tangerine orchards. Those who wish to stay in the summer are advised to book at least three months in advance.

Eating and drinking:

As it is a touristic region, it is very easy to find all kinds of international cuisine in Dümbet. Located amongst the tangerine orchards, the restaurants offer different dishes from Turkish and international cuisine as well as local dishes from Bodrum. Visitors to Gumbet are advised to taste the stuffed Bodrum zucchini, Kashkek, Radish herb salad, Mustard herb salad, Zucchini flower fries and Cokertme kebab.

Gümbet Beach

It is 1 km long and has a shallow sea and a sandy and stony beach. Shower and toilet service is provided free of charge on the beach, while sun loungers and umbrellas are available for a fee. There is also the possibility to do all kinds of water sports on the beach of Gumbet.

Gumbet district bazaar

It is possible to find all kinds of products easily in the bazaar visited by domestic and foreign tourists and local people. In addition to the vegetables, fruits and food products grown in the region, it is very easy to find textile products and different local souvenirs in the markets established in the basement and its vicinity. Bazaar open in the early hours of the morning continue until the evening.

Friday : Bodrum, Konacik and Yali bazaars.

Saturday: Turgutresi bazaar.

Sunday : Gumbet, Alder and Mumcular bazaars.
