Kekova Sunken City (Kaş)

Settled in the 4th century BC, the sunken city was home to many civilizations, from Lycians to Byzantines. Most of the ancient city was inundated by the earthquakes of Kekova Island and sunken city, which can be reached by boat. As the boats are not allowed to anchor in the sunken city of Kekova, the boats pass by very slowly.   The guide provided information about the sunken city while the participants had plenty of opportunities to take pictures and videos. There is not much information about the history of the city which is underwater. Shops, houses, foundations, staircases descending from the shore and the floors of the house can be seen among the ruins. Many of the boats that organize boat trips to this area have glass windows to watch underwater.
