Olive oil factory in the ancient city of Klazomenia
Klazomenia Ancient City, which is one of the 12 Ionic cities, is located on the Urla pier.Among the remains found are the remains of the first known olive oil factory dating back to the 6th century BC, 16 different pits for separating olive oil at different stages, grinding stones and levers.
Urla Vineyards
In Urla, which has made a name for itself with wine production, those who wish can visit the vineyards where the grapes grow and the factories where the wines are produced.

Local people who obtained olive oil from the olives they have grown, have established olive routes to promote the quality of olive oil to the whole world. Art Street is known as the most famous street of Urla with cafes, bars, hotels, hostels are available. In the street, antique products and books are sold while painters can paint you. The street is also located in buildings with historical value.

The village, which takes its name from the almond trees around, is 9 km away from the centre of Urla. Bademler has a wonderful nature park and the village the distinction of being the only village which has theatres in Turkey. The village theatre was opened in 1969 and still continues its performances. The theatre, where different plays are exhibited each year, is also shown in plays written by village residents. The Bademler village also has a children’s toys museum and a public library.

The island was named after the quarantine buildings built on it in 1865 to protect the people from infectious diseases.Those suspected of infectious diseases were kept under control on this island. The island was actively used until 1950, and later the sea and treatment centre was used as a hospital for bone and joint diseases. From 1986 to 2014, the island was used as the Urla public hospital. Many artefacts thought to belong to the ancient period on the island are waiting to be unearthed.

Located 5 km from the centre of Urla, Cesmealti is one of the frequent destinations for those who want to spend a quiet holiday. Those who visit Çeşmealtı can also take part in the boat tour of the 12 islands which is organized from the port.The harbour and the coastal area become an entertainment centre, especially in the evenings. There are also different options for those who want to stay in Çeşmealtı.

The night bazaar, which has nearly 200 stands, is open between 18:00 and 02:00 on weekdays, and between 14:00 and 02:00 on weekends. Food products, clothing products, souvenirs, shoes, toys and thousands of different products are sold in the night bazaar.

Every Saturday, the bazaar is established in Urla’s old garage building. Fig jam, milk jam, walnut jam, artichoke, olives, olive oil, olive soap, olive oil creams, handmade souvenirs and dozens of other products are sold by local women.
