Uçhisar

Uchisar, which is located at the highest point of Cappadocia, is 5 km away from Nevsehir and it is the most beautiful and highest point where Cappadocia can be seen panoramic. Uchisar, where the most luxurious hotels of the Cappadocia region are gathered, must be seen in the streets with historic stone houses, Guvercinlik valley, rock-carved houses, Tugraz Castle and the magnificent Uchisar Castle. Those who want to go to Uchisar can go by private vehicles by following the Nevsehir-Göreme road or by buses departing directly from Nevsehir between 07:30 and 19:00 every day.

Guvercinlik Valley

The valley, which takes its name from pigeon nests and pigeons carved into the valley, also has an arranged and marked walking path extending from Uçhisar to Göreme. Güvercinlik valley, which is one of the valleys frequently visited by those who want to walk in nature, watch pigeons and magnificent scenery, has two entrances, one from Uçhisar and the other from the south of Uçhisar. It is known that the people who lived here in ancient times gathered the pigeon eggs and used them in the construction of churches and the fertilizers accumulated in the pigeon nests were used in agriculture by the people living in the region until the 19th century. Those who visit the Guvercinlik valley, which we often see in Cappadocia postcards, can also see and illustrate the evil eye trees found here. There are also activities such as trekking tours, mountain bike ride and tour, valley running and yoga within the Güvercinlik valley. It is recommended that those wishing to walk in the valley should bring water, wear shoes that are suitable for non-slip walking and wear long-sleeved clothing for walking.
