Marmaris Beaches and Bays

With its clean bays and blue flag beaches, Marmaris offers indispensable opportunities for those who want to swim. While many beaches are free of charge, private blue tours and boat tours are organized for those who want to swim in the bays of Marmaris. Among the beaches and bays in and around Marmaris; Marmaris public beach, İçmeler beach, Turunç public beach, Uzunyalı beach, Sedir island beach, Orhaniye Kızkumu beach, Bördübet bay, Kumlubük bay, Cleopatra beach, Çiftlik beach, Günnücek beach, Paradise island beach and Boncuk bay are located.

Marmaris Public Beach

The combination of Uzunyali and Merkez beaches is called Marmaris Public Beach. Shower, toilet, cabin service is provided free of charge on the beach in the city centre and sunbeds and umbrellas are available for a fee. There are restaurants and cafeterias around the beach for eating and drinking.  Entrance is free to the beach in Marmaris Çıldır district.

Amos Bay

The bay, which is 24 km away from Marmaris, can be reached by private vehicles or boat tours. Although it is a small cove, it is located among the most frequently visited beaches. The pebbles of interesting colours on the shore, the mixture of blue and green, fascinate the visitors with its sea, and it may be difficult to find a place in the bay due to the excessive density. Businesses also serve during the summer season to meet the food and beverage needs of visitors on the edge of the bay. If you wish, you can visit the ancient city of Amos.

Uzunyalı Beach

The beach, which starts just after the Marmaris public beach, is 10 km long and extends to İçmeler. There are many activities and water sports facilities on the beach along the coastline to meet the needs of visitors to eat and drink restaurants and cafes. The beach is constantly controlled and has a clean and tidy structure. Beach, shower, cabin, toilet service is provided free of charge, sun loungers and umbrellas are provided at a charge. Those who want to go to the beach can take a taxi or a private car or take a minibus from Marmaris.

Boncuk Bay

Marmaris Boncuk Bay is a beach that fascinates those who see the clear blue sea with its clear beach and nature. Due to its very clean water, the underwater viewing distance goes down to 15-20 meters. Boncuk Bay is also known as the breeding ground for dark sharks, which are among the frequented spots of diving enthusiasts try to a part of the bay is prohibited and has been declared as the breeding ground for Sand Sharks. Apart from the area where there is no access, bay can be easily swim in other parts of the bay.  Located between Gökova and Marmaris, 30 minutes away from Marmaris, the entrance fee is charged. For those who do not have a private car, it is very easy to go to Boncuk bay with minibuses from Marmaris. There are also restaurants and camping areas for visitors around the cove that stands as hidden in pine, palm and log trees.

Incekum Beach

İncekum, which is opposite the Sedir Island, is between Marmaris and Akyaka, 17 km from Marmaris and 30 km from Akyaka.The beach, which has an entrance fee, is fascinating with its white sands and deep blue sea, giving the feeling that they have come to a tropical island. You can drive to the nearest beach and the remaining 2 km is in a specially designed tractor-trailer. Those who do not have a private car can reach the beach by using the minibuses from Marmaris to Çamlı village. Parking is also provided for those arriving by private car. Boat trips to the beach is also a stopover, especially on weekends are flocked to visitors.

Shower, toilet and cabin service is provided free of charge on the beach. There are facilities for those who want to sit in the shade under the pine trees. The beachside buffet is available to cater to the food and beverage needs of the visitors, and they can bring their own food and drinks from outside. There is also the possibility of camping with caravans or tents in the areas around the beach.

Bördübet Bay

The beach is located in an area where the sea joins the forest and there is hardly any construction. The beach is named after the British soldiers hiding here. British soldiers called this place because of the abundance of birds in the bay (Bird The Bed).In time, the name of the place remained as Bördübet Bay with the discourse of the local people.Bördübet bay, also called Amazon Bay, consists of four different bays. The beach, which is intertwined with nature, is definitely recommended for those who want to walk by the sea, get the atmosphere of the forest and swim at the same time. There is also the opportunity of canoeing in the bay with its magnificent view. There are restaurants to meet the food and drink needs of the visitors, and there are suitable areas near the bay for those who want to camp. After 29 km of Marmaris-Datça highway, turn right by following the sign and reach Bördübet Bay after 9 km.
