Mustafapaşa, which is a part of Ürgüp district, contains about 30 churches and chapels. Mustafapaşa, where local stonework is seen, is also among the places visited with many places of worship and mansions. Examples of Ottoman architecture can be seen in the central mosque and Mehmet Şakir Paşa madrasah, as well as in Mustafapaşa. Mustafapaşa on the Soğanlı-Kayseri road is 6 km from Ürgüp, 26 km from Nevşehir, 50 km from Nevşehir Airport and 70 km from Kayseri Airport. There are regular minibuses from Ürgüp for those who want to go to Mustafa Pasha.
Gomeda Valley
Gömede valley, which is located near the Üzengi valley on the Ürgüp-Mustafapaşa highway, is a valley where the formation of Peribacaları is less seen than the other valleys of Cappadocia but the vegetation is more common than the other valleys. In and around Gomeda valley, which is more like Ihlara valley with its plant structure; there are churches, monasteries, fruit trees, vine gardens, caverns for pigeons, caves, tunnels, underground city, St. Basil’s Church carved into the rocks, Saint Nicola Monastery and a creek passing through it.
It is known that the valley has an image resembling a castle or an apartment building. It is known that there were 650 houses, 2 churches, 2 necropoleis and 1 underground city during the Roman period. It is recommended that those who wish to walk in Gomeda Valley, which is a 6 km hiking trail in total with the Stirrup Valley, wear spare socks, long-sleeved clothes, flashlights, shoes suitable for water and land. Those who want to go to Gomeda valley should follow the direction of Nevşehir-Ortahisar-Ürgüp-Mustafapaşa, while there are minibuses from Ürgüp and Mustafapaşa.
