Stone bridge

It was built by the Romans in the 2nd century with 21 arches. Today only the 14 of the arches can be seen, and 7 of the arches were filled with stones in time.

The stone bridge built on the Seyhan River is the oldest bridge in the world open to vehicle traffic. The bridge also offers spectacular views of the Sabancı Mosque.

Seyhan Dam Lake

The wooded areas around the lake provide a unique opportunity for those who want to relax, cool down or walk in the hot summer days. The restaurants and cafes around the lake also serve visitors.

Adana Central Park

Located in the city centre of Adana, the park is situated on 33 hectares of land on both sides of the Seyhan River. There is Sabanci Central Mosque on the south of the park and a shopping center on north.Especially in the summer, people of Adana who want to cool off from the heat visit the park, which has more than 400 thousand plants, 40 different types of trees, 12 pools, children’s playgrounds, skating rink, amphitheatre, 3 km long-running and cycling track. Long-running central park, which is Turkey’s largest park, was opened in 2004.

Adana Ethnography Museum

The museum, which exhibits items used in daily life from the garments of Yoruks living in and around Adana, was opened in 924. The exhibits include bristle tents, dowry bags, rugs, wall pillows and many other items.

Adana Archeology Museum

Founded in 1924, the museum exhibits more than 17,000 archaeological monuments, 26547 coins, door lions belonging to the Hittites, inscriptions, altars, sarcophagi, god figures, goddess figures, and many artefacts from different periods and civilizations. The museum is open every day except Mondays and the museum cardholders can visit free of charge.

Ataturk Museum

The house which hosted Republic of Turkey’s founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and his wife Latife Hanim as a guest of Adana on March 15, 1923, later converted into a museum in subsequent periods. The museum exhibits a wax statue of Atatürk, many books, artefacts and objects from the period of the war of liberation, photographs and many other works.

Adana Cinema Museum

In the museum built-in memory of the artists who contributed to the Turkish cinema industry, the wax sculptures of the artists from Adana, information about the famous films, photographs, posters, books and awards are exhibited. Opened in 2011, the museum is located on the road between Adana central park and the Stone bridge, close to the Archaeological Museum.

Varda Bridge

The bridge, also known as the Koca Bridge, was opened in 1912. Varda Bridge, which is 200 meters long and 99 meters high, was constructed with steel lattice and stone masonry technique. It is known that the bridge which is frequently visited by photographers is a part of the Berlin-Baghdad-Hejaz railway line which replaces the historical silk road. The bridge is still in use today.

Kapuzbaşı waterfalls

Kapuzbaşı waterfalls which are within the borders of Aladağlar National Park consist of 7 waterfalls, 2 small and 5 large. The water of the waterfalls formed by the snow waters is quite cold and the magnificent view and the sound of the water mesmerizes those who see it. Although it is located in Kayseri province, the number of visitors is quite high due to its proximity to Adana.
